Canoe Camp RV Park is located along the Lewis & Clark Trail on Highway 12 across from the historical Canoe Camp nestled along the beautiful Clearwater River in Orofino, Idaho. In 1805 Lewis and Clark, along with the Nez Perce Indians, stopped to make 5 dugout canoes to float to the Pacific Ocean. Story has it that the actual trees that were used for their canoes were located on the very site of this campground.
