SUGAR HOLLOW RECREATION AREA - 300 acre park with three lighted softball fields, 5 soccer fields(3 lighted), 75 site picnic area with 8 picnic shelters of various sizes, 74 unit campground with bath houses, Waldo Miles Retreat and pool, 2 playgrounds, 2 miles of paved walking paths, 3+ miles of wilderness trails. Wetlands aarea with 1500 feet of trails and boardwalks over creek and ponds. 2 regulation baseball fieldsare under construction at this facility. WALDO MILES RETREAT- The retreat is available for public use on a reservation basis. The facility contains a pavilion complete with a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, a pool and bathhouse are available for retreat guests during the summer months. The retreat also has two dormitory buildings which have bunk type sleeping quarters. This facility is an excellent choice for business meetings, youth retreats, family reunions, receptions, parties and company outings. Reservations can be made by calling our office at (276) 645-PARK.
