Flathead National Forest is a campground or RV park located in Kalispell.

Stretching along the west side of the continental divide from the US Canadian border south approximately 120 miles lies the 2.3 million acre Flathead National Forest. The landscape is built from block fault mountain ranges sculpted by glaciers, and covered with a rich thick forest. By providing abundant recreation and a wealth of natural resources, the Flathead is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your National Forests! National Forest Christmas Tree Permits Available Christmas tree permits from the Flathead National Forest are available for $5 each from Forest Service Offices in Kalispell, Hungry Horse, and Bigfork, and from a variety of vendors across the valley. Each permit is valid for one tree and there is a maximum of three permits per household. Commercial permits are not available. more> Winter Dates Open for Ford Cabin Rental The Ford Cabin rental on the Flathead National Forest, located about 45 miles north of Columbia Falls on the Glacier View Ranger District, has ample available dates for winter reservations. The cabin was shown as unavailable on the national reservation system from January through March 2010, that is not the case and prospective renters can now reserve dates within that time period.
