Displays in the riverfront Marine Park explain the 19th-century locks that made the turbulent Columbia passable (and gave Cascade Locks its name). In nearby Hood River, the Mount Hood Railroad links the Columbia Gorge with the foothills of snowcapped Mount Hood. Camp among forested Tent Sites, full-hookup RV Sites with 110-foot pull thrus, one- and two-room Camping Cabins and Deluxe Cabins. Pool & Hot Tub: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend.
