On clear nights the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye, a star gazer's delight. In fact, our campground is world famous for being the spot where the first UFO sighting and picture took place. With a lot to do in within just one hours drive. And, the water is some of the finest and purest in the world, coming from our own Palomar Mountain artesian well. Oak Knoll Campground is proud to announce the addition of cozy and romantic cabins in the woods. Bring your sweetheart or your family for a wonderful getaway on Palomar Mountain The Cabins are beautifully made of wood with solid cedar interiors. They have a ceiling fan, thermal pane windows and forced air heating. There is a full bath, kitchen with dishes, pots & pans, cooking & eating utensils, microwave, stove, refrigerator, and coffee maker. We've also provided a TV with built in VCR. The cabins sleep up to four people with bunkbeds in the back bedroom and a Queen Size Sofa bed in the living room. 2 night minimum You provide your linens $95.00 per night (2 people) Additional people $10.00 each per night. Maximum 4 people A UFO picture was taken right near where our baseball field now sits. The picture was photographed by George Adamski through his six inch telescope on December 13th, 1952. We're even in the process of replicating the first observatory that once sat right here on this park.
