Eisenhower State Park is a campground or RV park located in Osage City.
Eisenhower State Park is located in Osage County on the North shore of Melvern Lake. South of Topeka 30 miles on 75 Hwy then 3 miles west on K-278 History: Eisenhower State Park formerly known as Melvern State Park was renamed in 1990 by legislature to honor the only US President from Kansas. Located on the eastern fringe of the Flint Hills in southern Osage county. Eisenhower is 1,785 acres of rolling hills with 18 miles of trails, camping, playground, beach, horse shoe pits, sand volley ball court, and basketball court for your family gatherings. Description: Eisenhower State Park provides 187 utility campsites and five shower houses. Non-utility sites are available for primitive camping in Five-Star, Sailboat Beach, and Omaha Swim Beach. 15 Equestrian Campsites with electric/water and individual corrals are available in the upper loop of Westpoint Campground. 10 sites are available for group camping reservations in Abilene Campground (must have at least 5 units for group reservation). 12 sites are available for single reservations. Campers may stay at any one of the campgrounds for up to 14 consecutive days. Visit the park office or email us for more information, including the availability of Mamie's Cabin, Ike's Shelterhouse and our two BRAND NEW YURTS for rent. Visit Ike's General Store located at Doud Campground to pay you campground fees, rent kayaks and check out games. Eisenhower State Parks' Friends Group offers ice and firewood for sale at Doud campground and a laundry in the Doud Shower Building.
