The Lake of the Ozarks area, including the Osage River, has always been known for recreational fishing and hosts several major bass tournaments each year. If bass are not your fish of choice, try crappie, white bass, striped and hybrid bass or monster catfish. For a real thrill, stop in during Spoonbill (paddlefish) season (March 15 through April 30) and hook into a remnant of the dinosaur age.
