Burton Island State Park is accessible only by boat. A ferry ($ and no vehicles) runs to and from Kill Kare State Park (9am-6:30pm). There are 17 tentsites and 26 lean-tos, many along the lakeshore. Gear delivery available ($) from the ferry dock to campsite, or carts (free) to wheel yourself. Showers($), naturalist programs, nature center, interpretive trails, park store with food service, a 100-slip marina with 15 moorings, shore power($), marine pumpout, fuel (gasoline only). Parking at Kill Kare State Park located on Hathaway Point Road off VT Route 36W.
