Sportman's Hideaway Campground & Marina is a campground or RV park located in Chaumont.
Sportsmans Hideaway Campground is located on the beautiful Chaumont River in the heart of the Thousand Islands of upstate New York. The Chaumont river empties into Chaumont Bay, known as the largest fresh water bay in the United States, and provides our campers with extraordinary fishing and sailing with easy access to Lake Ontario. In the heart of Lake Ontario's "Golden Crescent" we are only minutes away from many small lakes and rivers for all avid fisherman, and we are also a short distance from both Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Islands port of entry into Canada for all those non-fisherman. Our campground is a family-run facility, that is known for its quiet, relaxing good times. Our seasonal campers are like an extended family and we have "family dinners" once a month with our local campground band, and a Sunday morning non-denominational service after a pancake breakfast. Almost all our sites are wooded and shaded with water, electric and sewer hookups, and some of our sites have a terrific view of the Chaumont River.
Nearby restaurants include Jreck Subs approximately 9.7 km away, Lucky Kitchen, Blue Heron Restaurant, Valley Peetza, and Jack’s Diner.
Places to stay within 20km of Sportman's Hideaway Campground & Marina include Four Paws Pet Motel, Mary Island State Park, Travelodge, Robert G. Wehle State Park located at 5182 State Park Road, and Tru by Hilton.
