Illinois was recognized as a state, by the United States of America in 1818. Although Illinois has had a turbulent history, today it is without doubt a land of diversity and prosperity. Bulls and Bears rein supreme in the sporting arenas of Chicago. Live theatre, museums and daytimes favorite talk show can all be found in Illinois. Outdoor activities are found throughout Illinois year-round. Visitors and residents can always find something to do in Illinois.

Illinois was also home to President Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln. It was here that this great leader began his career in politics. After trying his hand a several different jobs, Lincoln ran for the Illinois Senate seat. He lost. However, the election and debate he participated in caught the attention of the Republican National Party and he was soon nominated and elected as President of the United States.

Green Fields Campground is located on Schweizer Road. 1½ miles east of Chicagoland Speedway. You can see your Campsite from your seat! We offer the largest campsites in the area. Electric sites are 30’ x 50’. RV sites either generator or non-generator are 30’ x 40’. Tents sites are 20’ x 40’ with two sleeping tents and two vehicles maximum. All campsites have wide aisles between rows. Everything you bring must fit within this space to respect your fellow neighbors. There is a maximum number of 8 people per site. If you need extra space request an extra site.
